Clinical oncology deals with diagnosing and treating cancer through therapies like chemotherapy. Radiation oncology employs radiation to target and destroy cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue.

Pediatric Oncology

Pediatric oncology is the branch of medicine that specializes in diagnosing and treating cancer in children. It focuses on providing comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of young patients, including infants, children, and adolescents.

Gynecologic and Surgical Oncology

Gynecologic oncology focuses on female reproductive cancers, while surgical oncology involves cancer treatment through surgical procedures like tumor removal.

Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear medicine uses radioactive substances to diagnose and treat diseases by imaging how organs and tissues function.

Nursing

Nurses play an important role as part of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the complex (physical, emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual) needs of cancer patients across the continuum of care from diagnosis through treatment to survivorship or end-of-life.

Medical imaging is the process of creating visual representations of the inside of the body to diagnose and treat medical conditions. It includes techniques like X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound

Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy Department manages and rehabilitates cancer patients from diagnosis to end of life, providing ongoing assessments and skilled interventions to restore physical capacity during and after treatment. Physiotherapy enhances recovery, promotes independence, and improves quality of life by facilitating the return to daily activities.

Palliative Care

Palliative care focuses on easing symptoms and improving quality of life for patients with cancer, provided by a team of healthcare professionals. It addresses physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the patient and the family.

Laboratory

The department offers liver function tests, Kidney function test, lipid profile, glucose, electrolytes like Magnesium ,calcium and phosphate . Haematology- full blood count with differentials , D Dimer ,Immunology -Tumour makers including PSA,BHCG,AFP,CEA,CA125,CA19-9, Hormones like TSH, T3, T4, etc. Serology and Malaria RDTs.

Social Work

The Medical Social work unit focuses on comprehensive patient assessment ,patient navigation ,linking patient to financial aid and resources, counselling, advocating for patient's rights and psychosocial support. Provide awareness to patients and care givers on their rights in the health care system and giving advise on social security
